Mandatory for all licensees in Hawai`i, this course comprehensively covers all aspects of a Principal Broker's (PB) roles and responsibilities. The material emphasizes the PB’s responsibility for all acts and omissions of agents in the brokerage, including the PB’s obligation to provide training, oversight, management, and discipline of agents in the PB’s charge. The course also reviews the PB’s duties to manage the contracts, records, and documents of the brokerage. Client trust accounts, policies and procedures, financial management, and succession planning are also covered in this course. Finally, we discuss the possible implications of personal transactions of licensees in the brokerage and how they affect the PB.
