Hawaii Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education

The Eddie Flores Real Estate Continuing Education School is an approved real estate CE School in Hawaii; license number 35. We are also approved to provide Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for licensed CPAs in Hawaii.

Continuing Education and License Renewal Date: license renewal is by 11/30 every even numbered year; CE can be completed through 12/31.

Hours Required By The State: 20 Hours

  • 6 Core Hours
  • 14 Elective Hours

Reporting: Real estate course completions are reported to the Hawaii Real Estate Commission. The state requires schools to report course completions within 7 to 10 days from the course completion date. Course completions will be reported within this time frame.

Course Duplication: A Hawaii real estate licensee can repeat the same CE course every other biennium.

Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course but are generally one year after order date. Each course has an individual expiration date which is listed in your account.

Final Exams: The passing of a final exam is not required to receive continuing education credit in Hawaii therefore our system is set up so that final exams must be passed with a 0% passing score.

If you are trying to reactivate or restore your license you will need to send the Hawaii Real Estate Commission certificate to Hawaii with your paperwork. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion with your renewal. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificates of completion will reflect this.

Looking up your License Number

1) If you do not know what your real estate license number is, you can look it up on the Hawaii Real Estate Commission website.

2) Go to the HI Website at: https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/pvlsearch/

3) Click the “Business/Individual” tab

4) Type your name in the search box and click “Search”

5) Follow the instructions on the screen to verify your search

6) Locate your name and license number from the search results


Printing Your Certificates

If you want or need to print the certificate of completion issued by the Hawaii Real Estate Commission, you will need to wait until the end of the next business day AFTER you have completed your course.  Go to the HI website at https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/rece/app/licensee_lf.html to print that certificate.
